Job summary

Northwell Health seeks a part-time board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist to join the school mental health team in Nassau and Suffolk County. You will provide formal psychiatric evaluations in schools on site or virtually and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team at the Behavioral Health Center.

Applicants should have BE/BC in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; school mental health or crisis experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BE/BC).
• School mental health or crisis/emergency psychiatry experience preferred.
• Part-time position with on-site or virtual evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal psychiatric evaluations in partner schools.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Center team.
• Support schools with consultation, education, and care coordination.
• Travel to Nassau and Suffolk counties as needed.
