Job summary

Hawaii State Department of Education is seeking a Behavior Analyst, SR-26, to lead behavioral assessment and intervention services in accordance with BACB standards within our school programs.

Requirements include a master’s degree in behavior analysis, education, or psychology, plus three years of relevant experience and a Hawaii license in Behavior Analysis. Salary is placed at the initial steps with potential advancement based on qualifications and department needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in behavior analysis, education, or psychology from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible post-master’s experience teaching, counseling and/or providing therapy, with ABA services to individuals with disabilities.
• License: valid Hawaii Behavior Analysis license issued by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
• Current valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in program planning, development, and implementation activities.
• Develops and maintains resource materials.
• Determines compliance with behavior analysis standards.
• Consults with teachers and school personnel regarding interventions.
• Provides ABA services indicated on the student’s IEP (e.g., FBA, BIP).
