Carry On Therapy is seeking a School-Based BCBA to provide behavioral support within a school setting. This onsite, Monday–Friday role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration with educators, and direct impact on students and staff during school hours.

You will mentor teachers and paraprofessionals, model evidence-based ABA strategies, observe, collect data, and adjust behavior support plans. Collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams is key.

Qualifications

• Active BCBA certification is required.
• Must meet applicable state licensure requirements.
• Experience working with individuals with autism and/or developmental disabilities.
• Experience or strong interest in educational settings.
• Enjoys collaborating with teachers and paraprofessionals.
• Enjoys teaching and mentoring adults.
• Comfortable modeling interventions and providing constructive feedback.
• Able to translate ABA principles into practical classroom strategies.
• Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
• Values collaboration and relationship-building.
• Ethical, evidence-based and individualized clinical practice.

Responsabilités

• Provide onsite behavioral consultation and support within the school environment.
• Build collaborative relationships with teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and related service providers.
• Provide direct mentorship, coaching, and modeling to teachers and paraprofessionals.
• Model evidence-based behavioral strategies within the classroom.
• Observe students in their natural educational environment.
• Conduct behavioral assessments and analyze relevant data.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized behavior support plans.
• Train and coach school staff on ABA strategies.
• Support staff with reinforcement, prompting, antecedent strategies, skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and generalization.
• Provide in-the-moment feedback and problem-solving.
• Help staff understand function and purpose of behavior.
• Review data and make data-based decisions.
• Collaborate with school teams to support student engagement, independence, communication, and participation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration when appropriate.
• Communicate with families and other professionals as appropriate.
• Maintain appropriate clinical documentation.
