Job summary

Montgomery Public Schools is seeking a qualified Athletic Trainer/Health Teacher for a secondary school setting. The role includes injury prevention, clinical evaluation, emergency care, rehabilitation, and student-athlete care during competitions.

You will also educate the community on injury prevention and health topics, and complete a Korey Stringer Institute orientation before start date. This is a full-time exempt position with a stipend of $20K and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BOC Certification as athletic trainer is required.
• Alabama state licensure as athletic trainer required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Record injuries, treatments, and communications between parties.
• Act as liaison between parents, coaches, and physicians within proper practice guidelines.
• Provide medical care for student-athletes at assigned school and visiting athletes during competitions.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient information and annual Emergency Action Plans.
