Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking an Outreach Athletic Trainer to provide day-to-day athletic training services for Goochland County High School. You will assess, treat and develop rehabilitation and reconditioning strategies for athletes, and participate in prevention and education programs.

You will attend all home and away games as scheduled, perform proper taping and bracing, and collaborate with coaches and physicians.

Qualifications

• Licensed athletic trainer in Virginia or eligible.
• NATA BOC certification required; CPR certification current.
• Bachelor's degree in athletic training required; master's preferred.
• Good taping/bracing technique and injury assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day athletic training services for assigned teams.
• Assess, treat and develop rehabilitation and reconditioning strategies.
• Design and implement prevention and education programs.
• Attend all home and away games per schedule with coaching staff.
• Maintain licensure, certification and CPR as required.
