HealthPRO Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage, seeks a School-Based ASL Interpreter in Augusta, GA. Roles include interpreting in K-12 settings with no weekends or holidays and summers off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED Either
• Proof of passing/completion certificate of an ASL Interpretation course
• Educational Interpreter certification—this can be obtained through us!
• National certification by RID certification is preferred
• Possess a good memory since an interpreter will need to remember what has been said to translate
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development required

Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa
• Provide interpretation services in educational, medical, clinical, or office settings
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards
• Research subject matter in advance for technical terminology
• Demonstrate strong listening, memory retention, and signing clarity
• Collaborate with staff and clients to ensure effective communication access
