Job summary

Chestnut Health Systems seeks a Peer Recovery Specialist to support individuals in recovery using lived experience. You will engage adolescents in a school-based setting, assist with linkage to treatment, and promote engagement in recovery activities. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of recovery experience, with CIT training preferred. Starting pay is between $19.00 - $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years in recovery or combination of experience and education totaling 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Engage individuals in recovery through shared lived experience and peer support.
• Assist in linking individuals to treatment services, recovery supports, and community resources.
• Encourage participation in sobriety-based and pro-social activities.
• Provide support to individuals and families throughout the recovery process.
• Assist with service coordination and maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems.
• Advocate for individuals to ensure access to services and support systems.
• Promote positive interactions within Chestnut and the broader community.
