• Meet athletic trainer registration requirements per WV Code 30-20A.

Responsibilities

• Carry out prevention, evaluation, initial care and rehabilitation of student injuries.
• Develop the athletic training program.
• Implement the athletic training program.
• Manage the athletic training program.
• Cooperate with building principal and athletic director.
• Develop rapport with coaching staff.
• Develop positive relationships with participants, student body, faculty, parents and community.
• Engage with game officials, news media and opponents.
• Maintain appropriate conduct during games and practices.
• Pursue professional growth and motivate staff and players.
• Care for equipment and follow purchasing procedures.
• Follow board, league, conference and WVSSAC policies.
• Devote time and energy to duties.
• Follow end of season procedures.
