Under the supervision of a principal or teacher, aides relieve teachers from non‑teaching duties and assist with lunchroom supervision, textbooks handling, and routine clerical tasks. Location: 74-30 Commonwealth Blvd, Bellrose, NY 11426. Schedule: Monday–Friday, minimum 4 hours per day; hours vary by school per the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift objects up to 10 lbs.
• Experience working with students.
• Bilingual candidates may be considered for schools with language needs.
• Team player with strong sense of responsibility.

Responsabilités

• Relieve teachers of non‑teaching activities.
• Assist with lunchroom supervision and meal service.
• Handle textbooks, materials, and routine clerical tasks.
• Assist in maintaining order in school areas.
• Support student arrival, dismissal, and bus transitions.
• Facilitate daily activities and drills as needed.
