Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide to work with students needing instructional and/or behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department and supervising designee. The role may involve supporting students' personal and mobility needs and therapeutic care under health professionals’ guidance.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR if applicable, and health-related certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification current, if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray as applicable.
• Health certificate current per contract or state regulations.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
