Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Aide in Akron, OH. This contract-full-time role requires 40 hours per week at a pay rate of $17 per hour, with duties centered on supporting students with instructional and behavioral needs under supervision.

The successful candidate will work within the school setting, assisting with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals. Public health standards and safety protocols apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The School Aide works with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
• The School Aide may provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
