Job summary

The Sunshine House Early Learning Academy in Charlotte, NC is hiring a daycare teacher to support safety, education, and childcare for our preschoolers. You’ll help implement our curriculum and foster a warm, inclusive environment where every child can grow.

This position runs Monday through Friday with a pay range of $15.00 to $20.00 per hour. Candidates with advanced education and experience may qualify for higher pay within the range, and regular increases are considered with ongoing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• NCECC certificate preferred
• Willingness to drive a 14-passenger minibus (no CDL required)
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and work while standing
• Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation
• BSAC training required
• Previous experience as a teacher at a licensed childcare center required

Responsibilities

• Implement our award-winning curriculum in a way that meets each child's unique learning style
• Foster relationships with children and provide a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Document and share with families the important milestones in a child's day using our app
• Encourage and model social behavior and expectations which are developmentally appropriate
