Salary Range: $48,000.00 To $51,000.00 Annually

School Age Services Supervisor - Mt. Airy School

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced and passionate School Age Services Supervisor to lead the development and daily operations of our school-age programming.

This role is responsible for creating a safe, responsive, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. The School Age Services Supervisor oversees programming across program areas or sites during the school year and summer programming, while also providing leadership and supervision to school-age staff.

What You'll Do
Program Leadership & Child Development
  • Develop and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly school-age programming.
  • Select and implement curriculum that supports children's social-emotional, developmental, and educational growth.
  • Support the development and implementation of age‑appropriate lesson plans aligned with state and accreditation standards.
  • Promote trauma‑informed practices and strategies that support children's social‑emotional development.
  • Monitor and address challenging behaviors and develop appropriate response plans.
  • Provide ratio coverage and classroom support as needed.
  • Coordinate field trips, special events, and enrichment activities.
  • Lead the development and implementation of summer programming, including schedules, staffing, activities, and field trips.
Quality & Compliance
  • Serve as the childcare administrator on the program license as required by the Ohio Department of Children and Youth.
  • Ensure daily programming and documentation comply with childcare licensing, Step Up To Quality (SUTQ), and accreditation standards.
  • Support and maintain the Youth Programming Quality Improvement (YPQI) model.
  • Collect and monitor evaluation data and contribute to department performance targets.
  • Participate in required training, professional development, and conferences.
Enrollment & Program Operations
  • Recruit and register families for school-age programming.
  • Assess children's needs to ensure appropriate program fit.
  • Oversee tuition and fee collection and communicate with Finance regarding program financial matters.
  • Manage program expenses and staff hours within budget requirements.
  • Maintain accurate child and family data while protecting confidentiality.
  • Coordinate activity calendars and ensure lesson plans are completed and implemented appropriately.
  • Identify and coordinate outside vendors for enrichment programming.
Family & Community Engagement
  • Build positive relationships with families and respond to parent questions, concerns, and complaints.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to children and families.
  • Collaborate with principals, teachers, school-age group leads, resource coordinators, therapists, and other community partners.
  • Represent Best Point professionally within school and community settings.
  • Participate in community meetings, outreach, and marketing activities.
  • Identify opportunities for program expansion and provide input on new program development.
Leadership & Supervision

You'll directly superviseAfter School Assistants and play an important role in building a strong, supported, and high‑performing team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing weekly formal supervision and ongoing informal support.
  • Supporting and training summer camp staff.
  • Supporting professional development and creating annual development plans.
  • Providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and instruction.
  • Monitoring required staff training, certifications, and credentials.
  • Conducting quarterly staff observations and using observations to support continuous quality improvement.
  • Modeling developmentally appropriate practices and effective communication with children, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education , Elementary Education, or a related field preferred .
  • Minimum of a CDA, Associate’s degree, or CPL 3 designation .
  • Education and work experience must meet requirements for Career Pathways Level (CPL) 3 through Ohio’s Early Childhood Professional Development Network.
  • Must be eligible to serve as an Ohio Approved Child Care Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and child development.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills .
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing program needs.
  • Willingness to consider new ideas and strategies to improve program performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and standard Microsoft Office applications.

This role pays between $48,000 and $51,000 dependent on education and experience
