Job summary

New Morning Schools is seeking a reliable substitute for their school-age programs in the Southern New Hampshire area. You will travel between locations, facilitating age-appropriate activities and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for children before and after school.

You will join a team that values energy, cooperation, and positive role modeling, with flexible schedules and opportunities to contribute to child development in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• At least 17 years of age.
• 600+ hours of experience or 3+ EDU/ECE college credits.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 minutes from the Bedford area.
• CPR/ First aid certification - training provided if not currently certified.

Responsibilities

• Travel to the various locations to substitute as needed.
• Plan and conduct daily activities using the curriculum book; include large and small group activities, and gross motor games.
• Maintain a safe environment for children and staff.
• Encourage positive behavior guidance and greet parents and children daily.
• Assist in training new staff members as needed.

• Hours at each of our locations vary, but are typically 6:45-8:45am and/or 2-6:00pm, Monday thru Friday
• Flexible schedules are available

What You'll Do

Travel to the various locations to substitute as needed. Daily Activities can be planned by using the provided curriculum book and should consist of large & small group activities, child directed activities, and gross motor games. You must be prepared for all responsibilities including:

• Helping to maintain a safe environment for children and staff
• Encouraging positive behavior guidance
• Greeting parents and children daily
• Helping to train new staff members as needed
• Attending monthly staff meetings at your program and the NMS main office
• Following the day-to-day staff assignments
• Communicating with the office when needed
• Being a substitute for staff at another location if needed

Requirements

• At least 17 years of age
• 600+ hours of experience or 3+ EDU/ECE college credits
• Willingness to travel up to 30 minutes from the Bedford area

Nice To Haves

• 1-2+ years experience working with school age children
• CPR/ First aid certified - we will train if not currently certified
