An established organization is seeking a dedicated Floating School-Age Educator to join their team. This role involves implementing engaging programs and providing direct support to children in a safe and nurturing environment. The educator will work closely with a diverse student population, primarily from Latinx and immigrant families, and will require strong communication skills and adaptability. The Floating School-Age Educator, reporting to the supervision of the Assistant Director of School Age Programs, is responsible for implementing programs and providing direct service to children across Erie House's three comprehensive School Age Program locations. This position will work 5 hours a day during school days and 8 hours a day (full time) during summer/school vacation/holidays, contingent upon funding supporting whichever location has the greatest need.
This part-time (school year)/full-time (summer) position is in partnership with the Expanded Learning Programs department, directly impacting our student population of primarily Latinx and immigrant families.
The Floating School Age Educator's primary responsibility is to interact, supervise, and provide a safe learning environment to the children that we serve between our 3 different locations.
The Floating School Age Educator must be adaptable, have excellent communication skills, and provide an environment in which children can grow and learn. Experience working with children 5-12 years old is highly preferred.
Compensation: $17.75 - 18.50 hourly
