Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Pre-K childcare staff for our Before and After School Program at DB Bunce Elementary School in Pavilion, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. The role offers a supportive environment with opportunities for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

The position is part-time, non-exempt, with a pay rate of $16.00–$17.00 per hour and follows the school calendar. Employer-paid childcare and other benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.
• Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).
• 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Schedule: Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:00 - 8:45 am

Afternoon Program: 2:10 - 6:00 pm

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.


• Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).


• 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.


• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.


• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
