Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring school-age childcare staff for our before and after school programs in Connecticut for the 2026–2027 school year. Part-time, non-exempt positions follow the school calendar, with morning and/or afternoon shifts.

Pay ranges from $16.98 to $18.44 per hour. Positions require you to be 18+, have a HS diploma, and pass health clearance. Employer-paid childcare and other benefits are offered, with opportunities to grow within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Morning Program: 7:00 AM - 8:50 AM

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
