Vacancy: 2024-25 District Vacancy in the School Age Child Care (SACC) Program for the 2023/24 School Year.

Job Description:

  • Title: School Age Child Care (SACC) Worker

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience with children under 14 and/or SACC programs preferred. Availability in mornings and/or afternoons, up to five days/week. Effective communication skills. Ability to lead activities for elementary/middle school children. Ability to meet physical demands. CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required. Background check, proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency, and Tuberculosis test required.

Reports To: SACC Site Coordinator, Program Coordinator, Chief Academic Officer

Work Year: 10 months (Hourly Employee)

Job Goals: Provide a safe, quality experience for children in the SACC Program, aligned with program vision.

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Maintain quality standards at all times.
  • Ensure children's safety during pick-up and drop-off.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regularly.
  • Maintain organized attendance records.
  • Supervise children during activities such as games, crafts, snack, playground, homework help, reading, and other learning activities.
  • Set and enforce behavior standards, provide accommodations.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Promote positive interactions and good habits.
  • Administer program activities and manage supplies.
  • Assist with ordering, organizing, and scheduling activities.
  • Update bulletin boards and maintain a safe, clean environment.
  • Monitor compliance and safety, report concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Complete and submit required documentation.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
