Job summary

The Heart of the Valley YMCA in Appleton is hiring a School Age Child Care Specialist to support our before and after school program and work with the School Age Director and Coordinators. This full-time position serves Quinney Elementary students within the Kaukauna Area School District and emphasizes engaging activities and safe, educational experiences.

This full-time role requires presence in program from 6:15am–8:30am and 2:30pm–6:00pm, delivering positive energy in an educational

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Education or Child Care preferred but not required.
• Prior experience as a child care lead-qualified teacher.
• Leadership and supervisory experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of licensing and YoungStar components at school age sites.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop staff and create initiatives and activities for programming.
• Deliver positive energy, warmth and an educational environment for students.
• Maintain a safe place for students and staff in the program.
• Collaborate with School Age Director and Coordinators and local school partners.

The Appleton YMCA and Heart of the Valley YMCA (Kimberly) are hiring a School Age Child Care Specialist to support our growing before & after school child care program. Work closely with our School Age Director & Coordinators, as well as other leaders invested in bringing quality child care to our community. T rain & develop staff, create initiatives & activities to be implemented within programming and maintain a safe place for students & staff. As someone working with school-aged children, you'll be responsible for delivering positive fun, energy and warmth in an educational environment!

• Heart of the Valley YMCA is hiring for Quinney Elementary School within the Kaukauna Area School District.
• Appleton YMCA is hiring for Sandy Slope Elementary School within the Appleton Area School District.

This is a full-time with lots of daytime flexibility, with a need for being in program from 6:15am - 8:30am and 2:30pm - 6:00pm.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Education or Child Care is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience as a child care lead-qualified teacher.
• Previous leadership and supervisory experience, &/or child care administration credential is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of licensing and YoungStar components at school age sites.
