Job summary

Hamilton County Department of Education is seeking staff for the School Age Child Care Program in Chattanooga, TN. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in child care or early childhood education preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid CPR and First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervised care, monitors children’s activities, and maintains a safe, nurturing environment.
• Plans and participates in indoor/outdoor activities appropriate to each age group.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed and reports hazards to supervisor.
• Communicates with supervisor and relevant staff about incidents and daily operations.
• Assists with opening/closing procedures and basic cleaning/maintenance tasks.
• Attends required trainings and works collaboratively with all stakeholders.
