Hamilton County Schools is hiring for a School Age Child Care Program Supervisor in the Chattanooga area. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children before/after school and during summer, and coordinating activities in line with district policies.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, some college coursework, and at least one year of child care experience, plus CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College coursework or vocational training in early education, child psychology, business administration, or related fields preferred.
• One year of experience in child care or early childhood education, or an equivalent combination.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Acts professionally, respectfully, and caring toward students and staff.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff and oversees program activities.
• Ensures safety and compliance with district/state/federal regulations; monitors use of safety equipment.
• Maintains attendance, handles fees and payroll-related tasks, and prepares reports.
• Oversees activities, behaviors, and disciplinary issues, mediating as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality and communicates effectively with parents and stakeholders.
• Travels to other locations as needed and adheres to ethics and professional conduct.
