Job summary

Palmetto Preschool in Wilmington, NC is seeking an Afterschool & Summer Camp Assistant to join our Myrtle Grove team. This part-time role runs Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–5:30 PM, supporting afterschool activities and the summer program with field trips and outdoor play.

You’ll build relationships with children, assist with homework, crafts, and events, and help supervise in a safe, fun environment alongside a supportive team. Valid driver's license is required for transports.

Palmetto Preschool is seeking a dependable and energetic Afterschool & Summer Camp Assistant to join our Myrtle Grove team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships with children, leading activities, and being part of a fun, team-oriented environment.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM
• Part-Time
• No nights or weekends

This role supports our Afterschool Program during the school year, helps cover lunch breaks in the center, and transitions into our Summer Camp Program when school is out. Summer camp includes field trips, special activities, outdoor play, and adventures that keep every day exciting.
