Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point seeks a Foundation Scholarship Officer to support awarding and administering scholarships, manage budgets, maintain key databases, and train campus staff. This full-time academic staff role reports to the Director of Advancement.

Key responsibilities include implementing scholarship processes, managing the scholarship system, and developing strategies to meet recruitment and retention goals while fostering internal and external partnerships.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and maintain accuracy in a detail-oriented environment.
• Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements scholarship/fellowship processes to meet established policies and strategic direction.
• Works within the electronic scholarship and/or fellowship system to facilitate the application and awarding process.
• Participates in training and support for departments, programs, and students in use of the scholarship system and/or in fellowship and other funding options.
• Leads and develops strategy around the implementation and maintenance of scholarships and/or fellowships that accomplish recruitment and retention goals and meet stakeholder intent.
• Builds strong relationships with campus and college partners, departments, targeted higher education institutions, and external partners to identify funding opportunities for students and ensure best practices in related activities.
