Job summary

The Library Publishing Group seeks a Scholarly Communication Librarian at the Little Rock campus to lead open access initiatives and the growth of the university’s institutional repository. This role emphasizes advocacy for open scholarship, open education, and robust scholarly output management.

Qualifications

• Master's in library and information science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Experience with scholarly communication and institutional repositories.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage open access funds.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth of ScholarHub@UALittleRock repository.
• Supervise staff in digital preservation of outputs.
• Advise faculty on open access publishing pathways and licenses.
• Provide consultations on scholarly communication and impact.
• Create and deliver educational programs and workshops.
• Collaborate with liaison librarians and campus stakeholders.
• Promote open scholarship and repository participation.
• Incorporate affordable course content and OER into courses.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
• Support evening/weekend instructional sessions.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
