Job summary

University of Wyoming Libraries invites applications for a Scholarly Communications and Open Publishing Librarian. The role leads open publishing initiatives, manages the institutional repository, and promotes openly accessible publishing for UW faculty, staff, and students.

Qualifications

• ALA-accredited MLS, MIS, or ALA-recognized equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of copyright law, open publishing, and open educational resources (from desirable qualifications).

Responsibilities

• Advocate for open access publishing and support UW Libraries Open Journals and UW Press.
• Provide leadership for the UW Libraries Open Journals platform and related publishing activities.
• Promote the institutional repository and engage with faculty, staff, and students.
• Advise on transformative agreements, author rights, copyright, and fair use.
