Job summary
GE Vernova invites students to join the Generator Manufacturing internship in Schenectady, NY. You will work on the floor with skilled technicians, gaining a 360-degree view of energy technology—so you can contribute to safety, quality and productivity.
You will tackle root-cause analysis, support process improvements, and explore automation opportunities with guidance from senior leaders and dedicated coaching. This is an on-site, summer program in 2027.
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline.
- Engineering majors considered: Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical or related.
- Strong problem solving and collaboration skills are expected.
Responsibilities
- Build foundational expertise in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Work with technicians on the floor, supporting safety, quality and productivity.
- Perform root cause analyses to address production issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement advanced technologies.
- Gain access to senior leaders and career coaching.
