Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Scheduling Specialist for a remote role supporting Diagnostic Services patients nationwide. You will schedule and pre-register procedures, verify demographics and insurance, and provide clear patient instructions while delivering excellent service.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, CRCR certification within 9 months, 1–3 years in healthcare, and experience with insurance/pre-authorizations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience.
  • CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire.
  • 1–3 years' work experience in healthcare.
  • Experience with insurance companies and/or pre-authorizations.
  • Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance; 35 WPM typing; MS Office proficiency; multiple computer systems; dual screens.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and pre-register patients for procedures based on physician orders.
  • Select accurate medical records for patient safety.
  • Provide patient instructions, pre-register, and verify demographics/insurance while delivering excellent service.
  • Perform Point of Service collections and financial counseling as appropriate.
  • Other duties as required by supervisor.

Scheduling Specialists are to perform these functions while meeting the mission and of Ensemble Health Partners and all regulatory compliance requirements. They will work within the policies and processes as they are being performed across the entire organization.This position pays between $15.75-20.90/hour based on experienceJob Responsibilities:Scheduling and pre-registering patients for the appropriate procedures based on physician's ordersSelecting accurate medical records for patient safetyProviding proper patient instructions, pre-registering patients, obtaining and validating demographic and insurance information, while providing excellent customer servicePoint of Service collections and financial counseling functions as appropriateOther job related duties as required by their supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodationRequired Education:High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent ExperienceEmployment Qualifications:Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hireExperience we Love:1-3 years' work experience2 years’ experience in a healthcare related position.Experience working with insurance companies and/or pre-authorizations required.Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance, formal typist with a minimum of 35 WPM, intermediate proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), experience with multiple computer systems and use of dual screens.
