Job summary

Tallgrass Energy is seeking a Scheduling Supervisor to oversee the timely and accurate coordination of interstate natural gas flows using the CONNECT system. You will manage a scheduling team providing seven-day coverage, coordinate flow orders, and ensure nominations, confirmations, and allocations are precise.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in natural gas scheduling, strong MS Office skills, and proven leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or years of industry experience equivalent to education
  • 3–5 years natural gas/liquid control experience; minimum 3 years scheduling experience
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and supervisory abilities

Responsibilities

  • Schedule Tallgrass natural gas interstate pipelines via CONNECT to ensure timeliness and accuracy
  • Lead scheduling support team, including 7-day coverage and urgent customer hotline
  • Coordinate customer-requested flow orders with physical system capabilities
  • Maintain accurate nomination submissions, scheduling, confirmation, and allocations
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding scheduling, CONNECT, and tariffs
  • Ensure month-end closing, reconciliation of OBAs, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Job description

  • Ensure timely and accurate scheduling of Tallgrass natural gas interstate pipeline systems using the CONNECT system
  • Manage the team providing scheduling support seven days per week during industry cycle time frames and a customer service hotline for urgent matters
  • Coordinate customer-requested flow orders with physical system capabilities determined by Gas Control
  • Optimize system throughput, company revenue, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries regarding scheduling, CONNECT, and Tallgrass tariffs
  • Ensure nomination submission, scheduling, confirmation, and allocation systems and processes are accurate, operational, and properly used
  • Provide operators reliable quantities at all receipt and delivery points
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing responsibilities
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation and resolution of Operational Balancing Agreements
  • Build strong, motivated, service-oriented teams
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients
  • Evaluate current processes and drive ongoing improvement
  • Manage personnel matters, including annual performance reviews and administrative paperwork
  • Accomplish performance goals aligned with company objectives
  • Enforce professional integrity, ethics, safety discipline, and regulatory compliance

  • Work non-traditional hours as needed, including on-call duties, shift coverage, weekends, and holidays

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Engineering or a related discipline, or years of industry experience equivalent to education
  • Three to five (3-5) years of natural gas/liquid control experience, plus a minimum of three (3) years natural gas/liquid scheduling experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
  • Strong organizational/time management skills
