Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company is seeking a Schedule Engineer II to develop, maintain, and report project schedules in accordance with Hoffman and industry standards. This onsite role in Lake Oswego, OR focuses on CPM baselines, progress updates, and KPI reporting, collaborating with superintendents, engineers, PMs, and the Schedule Lead.

Responsibilities include creating and updating schedules in Primavera P6, monitoring baselines, and supporting cost/resource-loaded schedules as needed.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in construction management, architecture or engineering.
• 4+ years of field scheduling experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and scheduling software.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building construction, materials, systems and trade practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare summary and detail level schedules in P6.
• Develop CPM baseline schedules and progress updates.
• Produce Lookahead schedules and KPI reports.
• Monitor progress against baselines and create change reports.
• Integrate plans into the master schedule with procurement, BIM, and subs.
• Provide training on scheduling tools to staff and teams.

Job description

The Schedule Engineer II prepares and maintains projects schedules in accordance with Hoffman and Industry standards throughout the project life cycle. The Schedule Engineer II will be responsible for schedule development, baseline maintenance, updates, reporting, documentation, and schedule quality. The Schedule Engineer II reports directly to the Schedule Lead or Schedule Manager and works closely with many members of the construction team, including Superintendents, Engineers, Construction Managers, and PMs. This position is fully onsite at our office located in Lake Oswego, OR.

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 DOE

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare summary and detail level schedules in P6
• Develop CPM baseline schedules
• Perform progress updates
• Produce Lookahead schedules
• Monitor and track progress against baselines, including creating change comparison reports
• Ensure adherence to scheduling standards
• Develop & update cost or resource-loaded schedules as required
• Occasionally support business development or marketing activities and presentations as necessary
• Proficiency in key software packages used in scheduling & construction management, including Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Smartsheet, Procore, Navisworks, Bluebeam, etc. Others may be required by the project.
• Know how to use key templates, tools, and platforms to execute scheduling work and reports.
• Provide support training in the use of project scheduling software & tools to office & jobsite staff
• Summarize reports, KPI’s, and schedule metrics
• Facilitate schedule meetings, including lookahead reviews, WIP audits, live updates, critical path reviews, planning sessions, report outs, etc.
• Work with other departments and / or entities to integrate plans into the master schedule (procurement, engineering, BIM, commissioning, design, subcontractors)

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: 4-yr Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering
• Experience: 4+ years field scheduling experience; Project Engineering and / or field experience is a plus

  • Proficiency in key software packages used in scheduling & construction management, including Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Smartsheet, Procore, Navisworks, Bluebeam, etc.

Reports to:

• The Schedule Engineer II reports to the Schedule Lead, Schedule Manager, or another designated manager within the project management team

Work Environment:

• Main Office, Project Office, Trailer
• May be required to attend meetings at or on the jobsite
