Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related major.
  • 15+ years of experience in project management and/or project controls.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • PSP and/or PMI-SP certification preferred.
  • Renewable energy construction experience preferred.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering complex schedule data to project teams and executive leadership.
  • Ability to drive innovative scheduling solutions and process improvements.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Lead and mentor the scheduling team, overseeing assignments, performance, and training.
  • Drive efficiency by leading process improvements across Project Controls and Operations.
  • Establish and enforce standardized scheduling processes and templates.
  • Own and maintain scheduling tools and systems, specifically Primavera P6.
  • Conduct quality audits on project schedules for accuracy and reporting integrity.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to project management, operations, and executives.
  • Deliver actionable schedule reports and forecasts to stakeholders.
  • Oversee baselines, forecasts, recovery plans, and delay scenarios.
  • Perform advanced schedule analysis including risk assessments and forensic reviews.
  • Ensure schedule integration with cost control, estimating, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

Overview

The Director of Scheduling is a strategic leader responsible for advancing MasTec Renewables' scheduling capabilities and driving operational excellence across all business units. As a key member of the Project Controls leadership team, this role provides vision, governance, and leadership for all scheduling and planning functions. The Director partners with executive and operational leaders to improve project execution, enhance predictability, and deliver measurable business results. The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing organization, champion process and technology improvements, establish best-in-class practices, and deliver accurate, actionable schedule intelligence. Success in this role requires an influential leader who can build strong cross‑functional partnerships, inspire teams, and drive transformational change that creates lasting organizational value.

Location & Travel Details

Location & Travel Details: This role can be remote or located in one of our corporate offices: Centennial-CO, Phoenix-AZ, Fargo-ND, Indianapolis-IN or Dallas-TX. This position will have up to 30% travel to regional office or site locations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to project management, operations leadership, and executive executives.
  • Deliver actionable schedule reports and performance forecasts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee all schedule types, including baselines, forecasts, recovery plans, and delay scenarios.
  • Perform advanced schedule analysis, including risk assessments, impact analyses, and forensic schedule reviews for claims and changes.
  • Ensure schedule integration and alignment by collaborating with cost control, estimating, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in project management and/or project controls
  • Five+ years of supervisory experience
  • PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) and/or PMI-SP certification preferred
  • Renewable energy construction experience preferred
  • Experience in preparing and delivering complex schedule data to project teams and executive leadership
  • Ability to drive innovative scheduling solutions and process improvements
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite
