Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. is seeking an Administrative Scheduler to work closely with patient navigators, clinicians, and staff to maintain provider schedules and coordinate appointments.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 2 years in a healthcare setting, strong computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology. You will monitor schedules, update charts, and participate in meetings.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and timely.
  • Computer skills and proficiency in word processing.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Obtains all information required to maintain provider schedules.
  • Maintains coordination of provider availability to cover services as required by the practice including office hours, in-patient and out-patient, scheduled meetings and conferences, and vacation or time off.
  • Monitors and updates schedule throughout the day and distributes changes to all affected parties.
  • Anticipates patients’ expectations and educational needs; understands basic requirements for all procedures performed to be able to answer basic patient inquiries or to direct the inquiries to the appropriate area or person.
  • Updates patient charts and electronic health record information with pertinent patient and insurance information.
  • Attends and participates in scheduled contract, committee, and all-staff meetings.
