A leading company in the healthcare sector seeks a Remote Scheduling Analyst. This role involves developing and maintaining workforce schedules to optimize operational efficiency, analyzing staffing needs, and implementing adjustments based on real-time data. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
As a Remote Scheduling Analyst, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing workforce and resource schedules to ensure organizational efficiency and service excellence. You will analyze historical data, forecast staffing needs, and implement real-time adjustments to support business operations across customer service, healthcare, manufacturing, or logistics functions depending on your industry.
This role requires a balance of analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. You will work closely with operations leaders, HR, team supervisors, and data teams to ensure staff are scheduled appropriately, shifts are optimized for performance, and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met. In a remote environment, your ability to work independently, handle real-time challenges, and proactively manage changes is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules based on demand forecasts and staffing availability
Analyze historical call, ticket, or workflow volume data to identify trends and predict future workforce needs
Monitor real-time performance dashboards and adjust scheduling to maintain operational efficiency
Support shift bidding, PTO planning, and schedule adherence tracking for assigned departments
Identify scheduling gaps, coverage risks, or overstaffing and recommend corrective actions
Coordinate with team leads and department managers to understand business priorities and operational constraints
Produce scheduling and performance reports for internal stakeholders
Use workforce management (WFM) tools and databases to ensure scheduling accuracy and compliance
Assist in the design and implementation of new scheduling policies, forecasting models, or automation tools
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2 years of experience in scheduling, workforce management, or operations analytics
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, charts), Google Sheets, and workforce planning software (e.g., NICE IEX, Verint, Kronos, When I Work)
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting data to stakeholders
Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team environment
