What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Develop and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the modernization portfolio using MS Project or similar tools
  • Coordinate scheduling across multiple workstreams and contractors, identifying dependencies, milestones, and critical paths
  • Track schedule performance, progress, risks, and variances; provide regular reports and recommendations to leadership
  • Collaborate with portfolio, project, and technical teams to maintain schedule accuracy as project requirements evolve
  • Support executive decision‑making by providing schedule analytics, forecasts, and what‑if scenario planning
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience scheduling large‑scale federal or enterprise technology programs
  • Proficiency with MS Project or equivalent scheduling tools
  • Strong understanding of portfolio and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • PMP, PMI‑SP, or similar project scheduling certification
  • Experience with federal government projects, especially VA or healthcare modernization efforts
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and program performance reporting
