Methodist Hospital Specialty & Transplant is seeking a Scheduler to manage the precise scheduling of surgical and other procedures across its surgical and procedural areas. The role involves coordinating with physicians and offices, ensuring equipment availability, and handling updates and special requests.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, with six months of office experience preferred. Strong clerical and computer skills are desired.

• Secretarial, computer and clerical skills acquired through formal education and training also preferred.
• Experience: Six months experience in office functions acquired through hospital or medical office work preferred.

• Ensures that necessary equipment is available for all scheduled procedures.
• Communicates additions, cancellations and special requests of schedule to all appropriate parties.
• Collects patient demographic and insurance data at time of procedure scheduling.
• Utilizes the computerized scheduling system and supports updates as available.
• Serves as preceptor to new employees.

Job Summary and Qualifications
