What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct comprehensive patient interviews to gather accurate personal and insurance information
- Schedule outpatient appointments while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits and obtain necessary authorizations and referrals
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies regarding CPT and ICD codes for authorizations
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phones and interacting positively with patients and staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1+ years of previous registration and/or insurance verification experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
- Effective communication and customer service skills
