Job summary

Avangrid is seeking a Cost Controller/Scheduler to develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules and cost data for moderate to complex projects. You will report to the Planning and Cost Control Manager and provide forecasts, insights, and recommendations to keep projects on time and within budget.

You will lead schedule-based risk analysis and contribute to continuous improvement in project performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams and project managers.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in project controls or scheduling
  • Experience with complex project schedules
  • Ability to load and analyze cost data in schedules
  • Knowledge of AACE principles
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with SAP
  • PMI-SP aligned risk analysis experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Integrate cost and resource data into schedules to support forecasting and performance tracking.
  • Maintain schedule baselines and monitor progress against established KPIs.
  • Analyze project cost and schedule data using spreadsheets, databases, and statistical software.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to communicate project performance and trends.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve project cost and schedule outcomes.
  • Lead schedule-based risk analysis using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Support project teams in identifying and mitigating schedule and cost risks.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with project managers and cross‑functional teams.
  • Oversee resources to ensure adherence to project controls standards.
  • Provide training and guidance on scheduling and cost control processes.

Salary Range: $79,600 - $99,600

Job Summary

Cost Controller/Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing schedules and cost data for moderate to complex projects. Reporting to the Planning and Cost Control Manager, this role supports project teams by providing insights, forecasts, and recommendations to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and cost control tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel).
  • Ability to load and analyze cost/resource data in schedules.
  • Knowledge of AACE principles and project controls methodologies.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP.
  • Ability to lead risk analysis and apply PMI‑SP‑aligned practices.
Experience / Training

Minimum 5 years in project controls, scheduling, or cost analysis. Experience managing complex project schedules and supporting cross‑functional teams.

Required Education

BS or BA from accredited college/university in a related discipline in a related analytic discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scheduling Professional (PMI‑SP).
