Position Description Summary

KKCS is seeking a highly experienced Scheduler IV to support construction and capital improvement projects at Los Angeles Trade Technical College. This senior-level scheduler will play a key role in evaluating project schedules, performing time impact analyses, and supporting critical decision-making for the BuildLACCD Program. The position is full-time, onsite, W2, and contract.

Position Description

• Develop and coordinate construction project schedules based on execution plans.
• Perform critical path analysis and earned value assessments.
• Review and evaluate contractor-submitted baseline and progress schedules for contract conformance and quality.
• Conduct site visits and document schedule progress findings through detailed narratives and reporting.
• Analyze schedule delays and assess change order impacts via time impact analyses (TIAs).
• Support change order negotiations and evaluate contractor recovery schedules.
• Prepare cost-loaded schedules to generate cash flow projections.
• Perform cost analyses comparing budget forecasts to actual expenditures.
• Identify and resolve scheduling problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Present findings to project teams and management to support program decisions.
• Ensure alignment with BuildLACCD procedures, policies, and reporting expectations.
  
  

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in project/program scheduling for large-scale construction programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Note: Additional years of experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• In-depth knowledge of scheduling and cost engineering principles.
• Demonstrated experience with time impact analyses, change order evaluation, and construction claims.
• Ability to travel between job sites across the greater Los Angeles area.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
