Responsibilities & Requirements

Infusion Scheduling

The scheduler is responsible for the coordination of patient care between the physician office, the patient and various hospital departments. The scheduler must provide excellent customer service with good verbal and written communication skills. The scheduler must also have excellent computer skills, with the ability to multi-task between various hospital system applications. The scheduler must also be very detail oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy in addition to meeting department productivity requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient care between the physician office, the patient, and various hospital departments.
  • Provide excellent customer service with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Utilize excellent computer skills, with the ability to multi-task between various hospital system applications.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in addition to meeting department productivity requirements.
  • Review charts for accuracy in scheduling advanced appointment types.

Requirements:

  • High School Completion equivalent.
  • Basic Medical Terminology.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced medical office environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple hospital platforms and applications.
  • Ability to follow directions, accept orders, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.D. in Business or health-related field preferred.
  • Infusion scheduling for Oncology or Oncology coding and billing experience preferred.
  • Office assistant or clerical experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of Epic/EMR experience preferred.
