Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Scheduler I to perform routine planning and scheduling assignments that require the selection and application of basic scheduling principles and techniques with oversight for our Operating Groups.

Mortenson conducts scheduling activities using CPM tools, monitors project timelines, and helps site management to mitigate scheduling problems while collaborating across diverse teams and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Prior experience on construction job sites preferred.
• Basic knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software.
• Basic knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing.
• Ability to exercise creativity and mature judgement in anticipating and solving problems.
• Baseline plan/spec reading, review, and interpretation skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions
• Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
• Active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Excellent organization skills are a must, along with a proven desire to learn
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Power Project software, a plus

The base pay range for this role is $78,800 - $98,500. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
