Job summary

Cancer Care Northwest in Spokane Valley is seeking a full-time Radiation Scheduler to manage patient appointments, tests, referrals, hospital surgeries and admissions with accuracy and care.

You will answer incoming calls, route inquiries to the appropriate staff, register new patients in the computer system, obtain necessary pre-certification, and schedule follow-up appointments in line with physician guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three years of office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments, tests, referrals, and admissions.
  • Answer incoming calls and route to staff as needed.
  • Register new patients in the computer system and manage scheduling.
  • Obtain necessary pre-certification and coordinate with physicians.
  • Schedule return appointments and adjust as physician schedule changes.

Inner Pacific Alliance for Cancer Care is hiring a full time Radiation Scheduler responsible for scheduling patient appointments and tests in an efficient and timely manner. Answers incoming calls and directs calls to appropriate personnel as needed. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical staff. Schedules outpatient appointments, referrals, testing, hospital surgeries and hospital admissions upon request. Obtains necessary pre-certification as required. Schedules return appointments in computer system in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines. Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes and in accordance with office guidelines; notifies appropriate clinic personnel. Handles new patient referrals, gathers necessary information, registers new patients in computer and schedules appointment.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications:



  • a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree

  • five (3) years' office experience


It is preferred an individual have:



  • previous medical office experience
