Job summary

EPC Project Management Consulting, LLC is seeking a detail-driven Scheduler to support a hyperscale data center project on-site in Richmond, VA. You will develop, maintain, and monitor schedules across construction phases, coordinating with PMs, engineers, and contractors to meet critical milestones.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of experience in data centers or large-scale infrastructure, with strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project, and the ability to manage risks and changes

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience as a Project Planner or Scheduler.
• Experience on data centers, mission-critical, or large-scale infra projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project; planning analytics tools a plus.
• Familiarity with construction contracts (AIA, NEC, FIDIC) and schedule implications.
• Excellent communication and coordination with internal teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for large-scale data center construction.
• Collaborate with PMs, superintendents, and subcontractors to create timelines.
• Analyze schedule impacts, forecast delays, and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform critical path and risk analysis to identify schedule risks and opportunities.
• Track and report schedule progress against baseline and earned value metrics.
• Support change management by evaluating design/construction changes on schedule.
• Prepare progress reports, lookahead schedules, and executive summaries.
• Participate in client and contractor meetings to align execution with strategy.

Job description

EPC Project Management Consulting is actively seeking a detail-driven and highly organized Scheduler to join our team, supporting a high-profile hyperscale data center project on-site in Richmond, VA.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules throughout all phases of construction; from pre-construction through commissioning. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and client representatives to ensure critical path milestones are met and risk to schedule is effectively managed.

This is a full-time, on-site role, ideal for someone with deep knowledge of construction planning principles and tools, particularly within complex, fast-paced environments like data centers.

$20,000 relocation assistance, or Per Diem is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for large-scale data center construction projects using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to create realistic timelines for design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Analyze schedule impacts, forecast delays, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project milestones.
• Perform critical path and risk analysis to identify schedule risks and opportunities.
• Track and report on schedule progress against baseline, including earned value metrics.
• Support change management processes by evaluating the impact of design or construction changes on schedule.
• Prepare and deliver progress reports, lookahead schedules, and executive summaries for stakeholders.
• Participate in client and contractor meetings, offering planning expertise to align execution with overall strategy.
• Coordinate closely with commercial, procurement, and construction teams to ensure integration of key milestones across disciplines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 5–10 years of experience as a Project Planner or Scheduler, preferably within data centers, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning and sequencing across trades including civil, structural, MEP, and commissioning phases.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and planning analytics tools (e.g., TILOS, Synchro 4D, or Power BI a plus).
• Experience managing and analyzing baseline schedules, resource loading, and schedule performance indicators.Familiarity with construction contracts (AIA, FIDIC, NEC) and their implications on schedule.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with both internal teams and external contractors.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Controls, or a related discipline preferred.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, client-facing environments with tight deadlines and evolving priorities.
