Job Location: The Residence at Basking Ridge - Basking Ridge, NJ

Salary Range: Undisclosed

Summary:

The Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) shall provide for the needs of residents, resident care associates, and the resident care department. The RCC will assist with the overall clinical/wellness operation and, in conjunction with the Resident Care Director (RCD), will work to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the resident care department.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and complete community's assigned in-service training requirements, whether in person, written, or online.
  • Work with the team to monitor changes in resident needs, preferences, and health status; report and document any changes promptly to the RCD, RN, or designee.
  • Prepare and post the Resident Care staff work schedule at least 2 months in advance; manage all staff attendance.
  • Review daily time clock punches, hours per resident day, overtime, and agency use; report to RCD/ED; complete and submit missed punch forms.
  • Order clinical and incontinence supplies.
  • Provide orientation and training on the electronic health record and medication administration record to new team members.
  • Monitor and review RCA training logs, assist with monthly training calendar creation, and report compliance monthly to RCD, BOD, and ED.
  • Document services provided, incidents, behaviors, and residents' refusal of services; input data into the community tracking system.
  • Conduct or facilitate programming such as therapeutic groups, cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activities, and spiritual connection.

Qualifications:

  • Qualifications may vary by state, including certifications, experience, and training.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Proficiency in computer use for documenting services.
    • Fluency in English, both oral and written.
    • Organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Computer literacy and familiarity with office software (e.g., Word, Excel), with ability to learn new platforms (e.g., Yardi, OnShift).
  • Education: Completion of CNA course or equivalent training/experience.
  • Experience:
    • Prior direct care experience or equivalent training preferred.
    • Experience caring for seniors with Alzheimer's or dementia preferred.
    • Experience with senior housing nursing/wellness operations preferred.
  • Certificates/Licenses: Current license/certification preferred as per state regulations; copies must be provided.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Dexterity, visual and auditory acuity.
    • Ability to lift at least 15 lbs., push/pull carts, and walk, sit, or stand for extended periods.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks including turning, crouching, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and assisting residents (~150 lbs.).
    • Occasional pushing of wheelchairs up to 200 feet.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and adhere to good body mechanics.
    • Potential exposure to blood, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals.
