Job summary

NextEra Energy Marketing, LLC is seeking a dynamic individual to help schedule natural gas for facilities and support senior staff on projects. The role includes ensuring portfolio accuracy, collaborating with Trading, Origination and Analytics teams, and maintaining compliance with risk guidelines.

Intermediate Excel skills are required to handle existing formulas. The position offers full-time hours in Houston, with relocation provided if applicable and opportunities within a leading energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience required.

Position Specific Description

• Primary duties include scheduling natural gas for our facilities. You’ll start by supporting senior staff on projects and daily operations during an immersion period designed to give you the essential building blocks for a successful career in energy.
• Verifies accuracy of portfolio and assists back office with monthly closing processes
• Works closely with various teams within EMT including Trading, Origination, and Analytics
• Ensure alignment and compliance with all relevant management systems and Risk guidelines
• Develop and maintain relationships with gas producers and marketers
• Engages and supports gas optimization trading activities
• Responsible for after‑hours and weekend on call responsibilities as part of a rotation
• Required participation/presence for all critical events, including potential relocation to back‑up site during extreme weather events
• Intermediate Excel (minimum VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) and the ability to navigate and manage pre-existing formulas
