Job summary

Satterfield and Pontikes Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled Scheduler to join our Houston team. You will develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure on-time delivery, working closely with project teams to improve accuracy and manage risks using Primavera P6 and SmartPM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in construction, engineering, design, or project scheduling.
• Commercial construction experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Familiarity with CPM scheduling concepts and best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform accurately and efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Master company scheduling standards to ensure consistency across projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 with key milestones, logic and dependencies.
• Support implementation and monitoring of schedules; proactively identify delays and risks.
• Maintain proficiency in Primavera P6 and SmartPM scheduling tools.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams.
• Assist with preliminary schedules during preconstruction and estimating phases.
• Illustrate work sequences, timelines, and milestones through detailed scheduling tools.
• Incorporate resource-loading and cost-loading data into schedules as required.

We are seeking a Scheduler to join our Houston team. In this role, you will support the development, monitoring, and maintenance of project schedules to ensure timely and successful project delivery. You will work closely with project teams to improve schedule accuracy, identify potential risks, and drive project performance using industry-leading scheduling tools and best practices.

Essential Job Functions

• Master company scheduling standards and best practices to ensure consistency across projects
• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, incorporating key milestones, logic, and project dependencies
• Support implementation and monitoring of project schedules and proactively identify potential delays and risks
• Participate in training and maintain proficiency in company scheduling applications, including Primavera P6 and SmartPM
• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams
• Assist with the development of preliminary schedules during preconstruction and estimating phases
• Illustrate work sequences, contract timelines, and project milestones through detailed scheduling tools
• Incorporate resource-loading and cost-loading data into project schedules as required
• Monitor short-term schedules and analyze impacts to the master project schedule
• Identify schedule variances and recommend corrective actions to maintain project objectives
• Generate schedule reports, including critical path analyses, progress updates, and executive reporting metrics
• Support project teams with schedule reviews, forecasting, and schedule recovery planning
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• 3-5 years of experience in construction, engineering, design, or project scheduling
• Commercial construction experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software
• Familiarity with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling concepts and best practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
