Job summary

Rockwell Sterling in Corona, CA is seeking an experienced Scheduler to develop, maintain, and monitor CPM schedules for major Southern California heavy civil projects. The role collaborates with project management, estimating, preconstruction, and field teams, using Primavera P6 to manage critical paths and delays.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in a related field and 3–5+ years of heavy civil scheduling experience, with hands-on expertise in resource loading, delay analysis, and schedule

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of heavy civil construction scheduling experience.
  • Experience with resource loading, activity coding, delay analysis, and schedule narratives.
  • Strong understanding of heavy civil construction, including earthwork, concrete structures, foundations, and underground utilities.
  • Experience working for a self-performing heavy civil contractor.
  • Experience on public or private infrastructure projects in Southern California.
  • Understanding of contract administration and scheduling requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other construction scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential delays and assist with Time Impact Analyses.
  • Prepare schedule updates, narratives, reports, and delay analyses.
  • Coordinate schedule changes and impacts with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project scheduling documentation and records.
  • Provide scheduling guidance and technical support to project personnel.
  • Assist project teams with P6 training and schedule development.

Salary: $120,000-$160,000 + bonus and benefits

A leading heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Scheduler to support major construction projects throughout Southern California. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring CPM schedules while working closely with project management, estimating, preconstruction, and field teams.

Key Responsibilities
