Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a Scheduler in Corona, CA to coordinate priorities, track production, and resolve constraints to meet delivery commitments. This role collaborates with operations, planners, and supervisors to provide accurate job status visibility and expedite delayed work.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing, ERP experience (Epicor preferred), and strong MS Office proficiency to support efficient production scheduling and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Scheduling or planning experience required.
• Understanding of routings, travelers and shop floor operations.
• Experience with ERP systems; Epicor experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills; ability to drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary scheduling contact for assigned resource groups.
• Monitor and manage work-in-process status in ERP; ensure updates are accurate.
• Prioritize and expedite jobs affected by constraints.
• Communicate job status updates with supervisors and operations teams.
• Support recovery efforts for late or high-priority orders.
• Assist with part staging, expediting, and job sequencing.

As a Scheduler, you will help maintain production flow by coordinating priorities, tracking work in process, and resolving constraints that impact schedule execution. You will collaborate closely with operations, planners, and supervisors to support accurate job status visibility, expedite delayed work, and ensure production commitments are met.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary scheduling point of contact for assigned resource groups.
• Monitors and manages work in process status for production jobs and ensures updates are accurately reflected in enterprise resource planning systems.
• Prioritizes and expedites jobs affected by material, labor, tooling, or quality constraints.
• Coordinates priorities and communicates job status updates with supervisors, planners, and operations teams.
• Supports recovery efforts for late or high-priority orders.
• Assists with part staging, expediting, job sequencing, and reprioritization activities.
• Identifies production bottlenecks and escalates issues affecting delivery performance.
• Supports inventory cycle count activities as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Scheduling or planning experience.
• Understanding of routings, travelers, and shop floor operations.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems; Epicor experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong problem‑solving and coordination skills.
• Ability to support process‑improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work directly with operators and supervisors.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
