Job summary

Paragon Furniture is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop and optimize schedules that meet customer delivery commitments while balancing labor, materials, and throughput. You will coordinate with production, purchasing, warehouse, sales, and engineering to align capacity and timelines.

In this role, you’ll manage master schedules, respond to shortages, and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced furniture manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, or supply chain coordination.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, demand planning, and workflow coordination.
• Experience using ERP systems for scheduling and production management (Odoo experience strongly preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams.
• High attention to detail with reporting accuracy.
• Experience in furniture, commercial interiors, or durable goods manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating mixed-lead-time projects or multi-product schedules.
• Familiarity with seasonal production environments and high-volume demand planning.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and manage master production schedules for active, incoming, and forecasted orders.
• Sequence production runs to maximize efficiency, labor utilization, and on-time delivery.
• Adjust schedules in response to shortages, capacity constraints, rush orders, or downtime.
• Coordinate scheduling with production, purchasing, warehouse, sales, and engineering teams.
• Monitor work-in-progress inventory, production flow, and capacity utilization to identify bottlenecks.
• Maintain scheduling data within Odoo ERP and ensure accuracy.
• Generate scheduling reports and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Anticipate risks and propose solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Support seasonal planning and shifting project priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve scheduling processes and performance.
• Track schedule adherence and production metrics for continuous improvement.

The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules that support customer delivery commitments, operational efficiency, and manufacturing throughput. This role works closely with production, purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams to align labor capacity, material availability, and project timelines while ensuring production priorities are executed effectively. The Production Scheduler plays a critical role in balancing workflow, minimizing disruptions, and supporting Paragon Furniture’s commitment to quality, service, and on-time delivery.

• Build, maintain, and manage master production schedules for active, incoming, and forecasted orders
• Sequence production runs to maximize manufacturing efficiency, labor utilization, and on-time customer delivery performance
• Adjust production schedules dynamically in response to material shortages, capacity constraints, rush orders, equipment downtime, or project scope changes
• Coordinate scheduling activities with production, purchasing, warehouse, sales, and engineering teams to ensure alignment across departments
• Monitor work-in-progress inventory, production flow, and capacity utilization to identify bottlenecks and scheduling conflicts
• Maintain accurate scheduling, routing, and production data within Odoo ERP
• Generate production scheduling reports, communicate schedule updates, and provide visibility into production priorities and timelines
• Anticipate scheduling risks and proactively escape issues with recommended solutions to minimize operational disruptions
• Support seasonal production planning, forecast changes, and shifting project priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Collaborate with leadership and operations teams to improve scheduling processes, workflow efficiency, and production performance
• Track schedule adherence and production performance metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure production schedules align with inventory availability, labor capacity, and customer expectations
