Job description

Position: Schedule Forensics and Claims Analysis Expert
Location: Arlington, VA Area/Full Remote.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Scheduler in our MOCA Services Division with expertise in schedule forensics and claims analysis to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project schedules, identifying delays, and providing expert claims analysis to support dispute resolution and project management. Periodic travel may be required, not to exceed 25%.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain critical path method (CPM) schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Be able to analyze schedule logic, activity sequencing, and milestones.

· Perform schedule forensics to identify and analyze delays, disruptions, and acceleration events.

· Conduct claims analysis to support dispute resolution and provide expert testimony if required.

· Prepare detailed reports and presentations on schedule impacts and claims findings.

· Collaborate with project managers, legal teams, and other stakeholders to gather necessary data and documentation.

· Provide recommendations for schedule recovery and mitigation strategies.

· Participate in schedule review meetings and legal preparation meetings with client/contractor, as required.

· Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project timelines.

· Assist in the preparation of time extension requests and other schedule-related claims.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedule documentation and records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, ABET-accredited engineering, architecture, or a related technical field is required.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in construction scheduling and claims analysis.
  • Must be considered an expert in the field or have previous experience providing expert testimony.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is required.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and contract law.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Required Certifications:

· Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification required or able to obtain within six months.

· Primavera P6 Certification preferred.

· Certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC) certification is considered a benefit.
