Additionally, staff will ensure that patients have all necessary information regarding their coverage and benefits related to their visit and inform patients of their financial obligations so that they arrive prepared. The schedgistrar duties also include generating weekly status reports, communications with multiple departments, collection of deposits and co-pays, and notifying financial counselors of any self-pay or uninsured patients. B. Essential Job Qualifications1. Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.2. Experience: Previous work experience in customer service and general clerical/office procedures,required; Experience with EMR Scheduling and Registration; Minimum one yearexperience in a hospital, medical office/clinic, or insurance company, preferred.
