Job summary
Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Scenic Technician (Temporary) in Atlanta to support the scenic department across studio sets, props, and environments.
You will install, maintain, and breakdown sets, ensuring production requirements are met and visuals stay compelling. This hands-on role requires 5+ years in scenic construction, basic electrical knowledge, LED lighting, routine live-event changes, and the ability to lift heavy items.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in scenic construction.
- Basic electrical knowledge and LED lighting experience.
- Rigging skills and welding experience would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Studio Installation and Maintenance: install, maintain, and breakdown studio sets to meet production needs.
- Scenic Property Maintenance: manage upkeep of props, furniture, and decorations.
- On-Air Scenic Changes: perform timely scenic changes during live broadcasts.
- Scenic Support for Live Programming: provide technical support for scenic elements during live productions.
- Warehouse Responsibilities: manage inventory; forklift certification required.
- Special Events: support scenic elements for live events.

The Scenic Technician (Temporary) is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the scenic department, ensuring the smooth operation of studio sets, properties, and environments.
- Studio Installation and Maintenance:Assist in the installation, maintenance, and breakdown of studio sets, ensuring they meet production requirements and are in optimal condition.
- Scenic Property Maintenance:Manage the upkeep of scenic properties, including props, furniture, and decorations, to ensure their longevity and suitability for productions.
- On-Air Scenic Changes:Execute timely and efficient changes to scenic elements during live broadcasts, ensuring seamless transitions and maintaining visual appeal.
- Scenic Support for Live Programming:Provide technical support and assistance to scenic elements during live productions, ensuring their proper functioning and integration with other production elements.
- Warehouse Responsibilities:Manage the scenic department's inventory, including storage, organization, and retrieval of scenic elements. Requires forklift certification.
- Special Events:Contribute to the successful execution of special live events by providing scenic support and coordination of scenic elements in a live production environment.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in scenic construction with a strong understanding of industry-standard techniques.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in scenic construction methods, with basic electrical knowledge, incorporating LED lighting for scenery and basic rigging skills. Welding experience would be highly regarded.
- Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Problem Solving: Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Teamwork and Independence: Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Hands-On Role: This is an active, physically demanding position.
- Lifting: Ability to lift and transport heavy objects safely.
- Stamina: Able to stand and work for extended periods.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work in diverse environments, including studios, warehouses, and outdoor locations.
